So why not world peace?
COPE brings evidence-based and practice-based methods to communities to realize transformative, experimental, and experiential learning programs for individuals, couples, families, businesses, schools, and civic entities.
We believe, as evidenced by many historical, societal movements, that world peace is possible when approached as teachable skill sets and made available to everyone. Peace happens when intrinsic human needs are met (Chappel, 2018).
Our curricula focus on the cultivation and advancement of peace within the individual, extend to modalities that achieve peace between persons, and ultimately achieve peace among groups and nations. History has shown us in many ways that relatively small groups of people, such as abolitionists and women's suffrage founders, can have an exponential impact on humanity as a whole.
So why not world peace? The Center of Peace Education brings together transformative peace practices from around the globe and makes them available to all through this website and through our experiential events, retreats, and trainings.
We explore, develop, and use practices that help individuals regulate their own nervous systems to create peaceful parent/child interactions, couples and relational peace, family restorative peace practices, community peace rallies, corporate training, and civic involvement.
We invite you to be a part of this worthy global challenge. Peace practices are teachable skill sets. Lives, relationships, families and communities transform through the adoption of these skills. Together we can move the global dial away from conflict and toward peace. Please look around our website. We offer many pathways to become part of this movement.
